Design Criteria for UV Light Disinfection Safety**
Join us March 10th from 2:00 – 3:00PM EST to discuss the research around UV light technology and how it can be highly effective at inactivating pathogens…but is it safe? Properly applied, UV light disinfection can balance safety with pathogen reduction. Join our webinar to investigate the safety protocols and design techniques that enable a holistic approach to designing a UV light disinfection system that protects occupants.
This course is registered with AIA for (1) LU | HSW and registered with IDCEC for 0.1 CEU. Attendance can also be self-reported to other organizations with the certificate received after the webinar.*
*Registration for the webinar does not include a request for a certificate of completion. Certificates will be issued to those attendees that attend the entire event and follow the instructions for requesting a certificate provided at the end of each webinar.
**All references to “disinfection” are referring generally to the reduction of pathogenic bioburden and are not intended to refer to any specific definition of the term as may be used for other purposes by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The disinfection technology as incorporated in Acuity Brands products is not for use as or for medical devices. Reduction of the pathogenic bioburden is a function of fixture run time, distance to the UV light source and/or other factors, and the level of reduction will vary within a specific space.
